Disney California Adventure for Adults- 4 Tips For Fun Without Kids!
Usually when you think about Disneyland you are probably thinking of animated characters, jolly music, elaborate costumes and kids, kids everywhere! Believe it or not Disneyland For Adults isn’t a myth, you can actually find many things to do at the resort that don’t involve small animated dolls or Disney princesses. If you need a break from keeping your kids entertained then you owe it to yourself to enjoy a kid free night at the Disneyland Resort. Let’s start with our favorite park for adult themed fun, Disney California Adventure!
It’s Time To Really Ride
This is the time to really ride all of the attractions that you normally can’t (at least without many hoops) like Tower of Terror or California Screamin’. Grab FASTPASSES and take advantage of single rider lines to ride all the attractions that your kids won’t get on.
This isn’t limited to rides though, take time to watch a few shows that you can’t normally watch with the kids in tow like Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular or World of Color. These shows take on a whole new element when you don’t have a child asking you to go to the bathroom right as the show begins!
Trade The Whine For Some Wine!
That’s right it’s wine time! If you like to enjoy a fine glass of wine then the Wine Country Trattoria is a must visit on an adults only trip to Disney California Adventure.
You can sit outside in one of two terrace’s and relax under the stars and people watch, or choose indoor seating which is set in a Tuscan villa. The Wine Country Trattoria has 25 different wines, sangria, and a range of domestic, imported and premium beers to choose from. They have a tasty menu of Italian dishes such as Bruschetta, Caprese salad, Lasagna Rustica and pasta. This place is definitely one of the more upscale areas of the park so it’s a must when you’re visiting without the children.
Head To The Cove
If wine, bruschetta and tuscan villas aren’t your thing then head over to Cove Bar for some adult fun overlooking Paradise Pier. Nestled behind Ariel’s Grotto you will find a nice selection of beers, wine and signature cocktails to choose from while hanging out on the alfresco patio. If you’re hungry you can dine on some yummy appetizers like lobster nachos or tri-tip sliders.
It’s T Time
If you are ready to kick it up a notch then head on over the Hollywood Land and check out The Mad T Party. Inspired by Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, this is a party that has everything that you’re looking for.
Although we always make it a point to go whenever we visit with the kids, it’s certainly much more fun when only adults are in the group. You can listen to the Mad T Party band playing some of your favorite covers on the main stage, or dance to all of the latest beats spun by White Rabbit DJ, or check out The Hottest Deck in Town over on the House of Cards stage. There are 2 bars where you can get a few different beers on tap or some fancy concoctions in light up cups inspired by the movie. Either way you cut the cards a good time will most certainly be had by all!
